Jakarta, Indonesia—In an innovative trial series, Cuprum Industries Indonesia (Cuprum) has made another achievement: the Cuprum SAE 40 engine oil, based on Neol CuGlide Technology, proves its mettle on the TB. Kijang Mas Enam ship engines in Berau and Tarjun, Kalimantan. The lubricant was used in one of the main engines, a robust Mitsubishi S6R2-MTK31 with a power of 759KW and a max speed of 1400RPM, and underwent extensive testing with remarkable outcomes.
The trial was conducted with PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI), a state-owned entity specialising in maritime survey services that is recognized as an independent authority.
Key Finding:
Efficient Fuel Consumption: A critical aspect of the trial involved closely monitoring fuel consumption undertaken by BKI. The following results, based on consumption during specific time intervals at calibrated rpm: significant reduction in fuel consumption, 14%, across all RPM ranges, with a notable 12% decrease at 900 RPM.
Cuprum continues to set new benchmarks in the maritime industry, ensuring vessels like TB Kijang Mas Enam navigate the seas with unparalleled efficiency and reliability.
